Little Tin Roof

A small house, completely reimagined.

A single long beam directly beneath the roof peak allowed us to rethink the interior, relocate the kitchen, and reconnect the rooms.

Lost in the ’60s

One property. Three possibilities.

A new primary suite, a separable former garage suite, and a detached garage/shop conversion created flexible options for living, guests or potential rental use. We raised the former garage suite floor, addressed drainage, and transformed the outdoor spaces. A long closet also became two personalized dressing areas, including direct bathroom access from hers.

Blowing Out the Ranch

Removing walls. Reconnecting life.

The existing rooms were separated by partitions and narrow openings. The new structural approach used an L-shaped configuration: one beam toward the kitchen, and a second perpendicular beam running above the former single-door wall toward the garage. The finished spaces live as one.

Chef’s House

A difficult roof. A remarkable opening.

We began by simplifying the dated exterior, removing front patio walls and refreshing the gray brickwork. Inside, the unusual roof demanded a cantilevered beam above the peninsula, with a secondary kitchen beam meeting it. The structural solution made the kitchen and living room connect naturally.
